Twins is a variation of the 2009 project entitled Evolution. Shaped like cocoons, Evolution’s iconic chairs created a private space for a per- son or persons to recline. Twins come in twos. As the surroundings change, so do their functions. They are straight-backed, elongated and slender – a specific reference to the cityscape of New York. The papier-mâché forms light up and intertwine, bringing users closer together in honour of the city that never sleeps. Commissioned by Chamber NY Gallery
