CARPENTERS WORKSHOP GALLERY AT PAD, PARIS Solo booth: Nacho Carbonell, Netherlands-based Spanish artist Booth 53 Carpenters Workshop Gallery will present 12 pieces by Nacho Carbonell including a new table light collection as part of his Light Mesh series, made from glass and bronze for the first time. The display shows a diversity are cocoon-like sculptures with organic shapes that evoke surreal tree-like forms and create a similar feeling and space to a botanical garden. Carbonell is renowned for questioning conventional ideas of functional product design and exploring the tension between design and art. His work has been shown around the world and is part of museum collections including Groningen Museum in Netherlands, Fnac-Fonds National d’art Contemporain in France, 2121 Museum in Japan and MINT Museum in the USA. His work has been exhibited several times at The Salon Del Mobile in Milan and will be part of Carpenters Workshop Gallerys Dysfunctional exhibition in Venice this year. His studio is based in Eindhoven in The Netherlands. Nacho Carbonell will be at the fair and available for interview along with the founders of Carpenters Workshop Gallery Julien Lombrail and Loc Le Gaillard.
